Beacon of Hope

Giving back to our community is an important part of our mission to make not only our community but the world a better place.  We believe in supporting our local non-profit businesses that make other people’s lives around the world better.  Each year we participate in and raise money for:

Stone Church Preschool 501(c)(3)

A high-quality education is one of the most important things that we can provide a young child. Stone Church Preschool program is dedicated to the development of the whole child.  An enriched preschool atmosphere that meets the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of our community’s 2—5 year olds.

Outreach International 501(c)(3) – Water Well Project

An astounding 800 million people in the world lack access to clean water; and as a result, they have no choice but to drink dirty, and often, contaminated water. Every year, more than 3 million people die from water-related diseases. Children under five are especially at risk.

Pancreatic Cancer Action Network 501(c)(3)

Studies predict that pancreatic cancer will be the second leading cause of cancer-related death around 2020.  Because there are so many types of cancer, and to make the war against this terrible disease fair, we chose to support pancreatic cancer among the big cancers, to make the biggest impact.  Pancreatic cancer receives the lowest amount of funding raised spent relative to each death this type of cancer causes. Help us balance the funding on the war against cancer here:

Children’s Mercy Hospital – Ronald McDonald House Family Room

Each month our team cooks meals for parents and families who are stuck in the hospital for terrible reasons, unable to leave their child’s bedside.  Helping families stay close by allows parents to better communicate with their child’s medical team during complicated medical treatment plans.
